Course Description: healthcare extends beyond traditional settings of care transactions. It includes not only hospitals and clinics but also, in a growing capacity, the world (i.e., communities, regions, and countries). Public health knowledge is grounded in principles of epidemiology and influenced by genetics and genomics. Utilizing principles of both, students will explore environmental health, ethical health disparities, and issues of social justice.
